Bio
Nicolas Leo is a composer, songwriter, music educator, producer, multi-instrumentalist, singer, and music researcher. Nic was most recently based in Seattle, WA, where he taught piano, guitar, voice, and upright/electric bass at Henderson Music Academy while putting on events that featured performing artists who told stories through song, poetry, spoken word, and more. Before that, Nic spent 8 years living in New Orleans, LA, where he studied music at Loyola University and majored in both Classical Composition and Jazz Studies. After completing his formal studies, Nic immersed himself in the deep, enriching New Orleans music community and learned more than he could have ever imagined. This sparked in him a serious interest in learning about music scenes and their history around the world. Nic is currently traveling the country performing his original music, teaching online and in-person lessons, and investigating music scenes for an educational music vlog he will be publishing this summer. Nic frequents Los Angeles for his film scoring and producing projects as well as New Orleans, where he may be found playing with local jazz bands or his New Orleans-based Indie-rock/Chamber Pop band, Nyce!, in the French Quarter.
